EUROPEAN PRESSURE ULCER ADVISORY PANEL

News from the EPUAP Business Office

The planning of our Fourth Annual Meeting (28–30 September, 2000) by the local organiser Marco Romanelli is progressing well. The programme committee under the direction of Gerry Bennett, our Recorder, have come up with an excellent programme which is outlined in this issue. This  promises to be both exciting and innovative – a great way to start the New Millennium in beautiful historic surroundings.

The Business Office has published the EPUAP guidelines for the prevention and management of pressure ulcers in English, French and Italian. The latter will be available at the beginning of the New Year. These will be closely followed by the Finnish guidelines. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to have these brochures. The guidelines have also been published in Spanish and Greek by the trustees from these countries.

The paid membership continues to increase and being a member has the advantage of a discount at the annual meeting on the registration fee as well as a membership certificate and receiving the EPUAP Review three times per year. Membership forms are at the back of this Review and payment may be made with Visa or Mastercard.

A major part of the success of the EPUAP comes from our Corporate members who are listed at the back of the Review and information concerning these companies and products related to pressure ulcers can be obtained through links with our website (http://www.epuap.org).

Please feel free to call, fax or e-mail any inquiries you might have concerning the EPUAP. Chris and Jane will be happy to help you or put you in touch with the relevant trustees.
