About Professor Lindholm
Christina LIndholm is a professor in clinical nursing at the Karolinska University Hospital/Red Cross University College, Stockholm. Her PhD in 1993 comprised five studies on leg ulcer epidemiology, treatment, health economics and quality of life. Her later research has been focussed on wound infections, infection control and pressure ulcers. She is the editor-in chief of the Swedish Wound Jornal "Sår" and a council member (and first president) of the Swedish Wound Management Association of nurses. Christina held a professorial chair at the University of Kristianstad until her retirement, and was before that Director of R&D in nursing at Uppsala University Hospital and a Director of Research in Caring Sciences at the Karolinska University Hospital. Christina has supervised 5 PhD students, and is at present supervising another three. She is expert nurse in ICN and a consultant to the National Institute of Health and Social Society in Sweden. She is a member of the editorial committee of Journal of Wound Care an and is frequently reviewing papers for many other scientific journals.Christina is lecturing on pressure ulcers and wound management world wide.
Christina was one of the founders of EPUAP.
